Wild Blueberry Matcha
Recipe By: HOLIST
The most antioxidant-packed beverage you'll make all week. Wild blueberries are loaded with anthocyanins that help neutralise free radicals, while matcha brings a hit of EGCG-rich catechins — together they make this the ultimate feel-good latte.
Ingredients
- 1 Tsp Matcha Powder
- 1 Tsp Honey (adjust to taste)
- ¾ Cup Milk (dairy or non-dairy)
- ¼ Cup Wild Blueberry Puree (made from ¼ cup warmed & blended wild blueberries)
- Ice (optional)
Directions
Prepare the Blueberry Puree: In a small saucepan, or in the microwave for about 1 minute, heat the wild blueberries over medium heat until they begin to release their juices and soften. Blend the heated blueberries until smooth to create a syrup. Set aside.
Prepare the Matcha: In a small bowl, whisk the matcha powder with a small amount of hot water (about 2 tablespoons) until smooth and frothy.
Combine Ingredients: In a glass, combine the prepared blueberry syrup with the honey. Add in your ice cubes, then pour in your milk and stir to combine.
Mix in the Matcha: Add the whisked matcha onto the milk and blueberry mixture. Enjoy your Wild Blueberry Matcha!
