Not to shame our local grocery shop, but we simply couldn't do it anymore.
After years of collecting tote bags and market bags (trust us, there have been many), we kept running into the same problems…
- Water bottles rolling around and leaking on laptops, documents and everything else — stains included.
- Laptop sleeves designed for smaller devices (12”) while our 16” laptops had nowhere to go.
- And at the worst possible moment (usually when the bag is full of groceries)… the handles rip.
- We knew there had to be a better way.

Over the past year we refined every detail:

What does “bespoke construction” mean?
This bag wasn’t pulled from a template or stock design.
It was designed from scratch, then refined through multiple rounds of sampling and adjustments over the past year.
That process meant reworking things like:
• pocket placement
• handle length and strength
• fabric weight
• overall proportions
Each iteration helped us move closer to a bag that genuinely works for everyday life — not just something that looks good online.
Why is the bag manufactured overseas?
While the bag is designed in Australia, we partnered with experienced makers overseas who specialise in durable canvas construction.
This allows us to work with artisans who have deep expertise in building high-quality bags — while still maintaining close control over the design process from Australia.
The slower process meant multiple rounds of sampling and refinement over the last year — but it ensured the final product met the standard we wanted before sharing it with you.

Because this is our first release of the Everyday Tote Bag, we want you to feel completely confident trying it.
